Polical Desk:

BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said on the news of the resignation of Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus that he does not see any crisis in the resignation of the Chief Advisor. He asked, ‘Where is the crisis?’

Amir Khasru made these comments to reporters after the ‘Capital Market in Bangladesh Discourse: Philosophy and Practice’ program organized by the DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA) at Nikunja in the capital on Saturday.
Stating that it is possible to hold the national election before December this year, BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said, ‘The election can be held before December. Why do we have to wait until December for this, it can be held before that.’

Amir Khasru said, ‘What the people of Bangladesh have been waiting for for the last 16 years is the election. The way to a democratic environment is through elections.’
In response to a question about the news of the resignation of the interim government’s chief advisor, he said, ‘Where is the crisis, we do not see any crisis in the country. These are not a matter for discussion. The matter for discussion is that we will move forward on the path of democracy in Bangladesh as soon as possible and restore democratic order.’

He further said, ‘A democratic government-parliament will be formed in Bangladesh through a fair election, which will be accountable to the people and accountable. For which the people of Bangladesh have sacrificed for the last 16 years – this is the main matter for discussion.’
